The 1st generation Camaros made their debut September 1966 and lasted until Febraury 1970 and have inspired the design of the new 5th Gen Camaro.

The second generation Camaros covered the years from 1970 to 1981 and showed very strong sales numbers over their eleven year run.

The 3rd Gen Camaros had a ten year run from 1982 to 1992. A 25th Anniversary Heritage Package option (RPO Z03) ended up in about 8,000 of the almost 70,000 Camaros made in 1992.

The 4th Gens arrived in 1993. After the 1998 design refresh all V8's were of the LS1 design with increased horsepower. 2002 was the last production year for Camaro; that is, until 2010!

5th Generation Camaro was announced in August 2006 and the cars have been introduced as a 2010 model year vehicle.
