The 2009 Nationals

This is the show graphic for the 21st 2009 Ontario Camaro Nationals! This was created for the Ontario Camaro Club by Knightworks Design and they always make us a great show graphic, wouldn't you agree?

The 21st Annual Ontario Camaro Nationals were blessed with great weather and 221 registered Camaros. Some of the many activities included Blind Man's Racing, Rad Fill Contest, Silent Auction, Cruise of the Niagara Region and our Saturday evening banquet.

Our banquet had it all. A great meal, door prizes, a live auction and our favorite guest speaker: Manager of Chevrolet Events, Scott Settlemire.

There was lots of fun for the kids as well. On Saturday, we had a visit from Summer Santa, who brought ice cream cones and goody bags. And on Sunday, the colouring contest was held. Throughout it all, our great DJ, John Dick, was playing his super music and managing all of the door prizes in his stride.

Delena Hamilton took the lead on our 50-50 ticket draw which netted the lucky winner $512.50! Wilson Niblett Chevrolet, our headquarters dealership, lent us a new Diamond White Silverado LT which we used for Blind Man's Racing. Thanks to John and Gord Wilson!

Shauna Beaudoin and her dad were at Main Tent to represent our partner charity, Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario. To SB&H, the OCC not only, donated $500 from the proceeds of our silent auction; but also, conducted a live auction at our banquet which generated $1000 for our partner charity. Thanks to Lenny Daugherty for stepping in as the auctioneer. In addition, the Lions Club was selling tickets for a hot 68 Camaro and made a donation to SB&H too. On top of all of this, one of our special members and sponsors, Marsha Giammattolo, accompanied Shauna around the show site with her coin box and this raised over $300. What a great job by all to support this worthy cause.

The awards were handed out on Sunday with 36 classes of Camaros being recognized along with 30 Best Of awards. The draw for the four P275/40 x 17 Goodyear Eagle F1's was won by long time member, Jim Hutchinson -> congratualtions! And....thanks to Goodyear Canada for making this possible year after year. 2009 Goodyear Tire Winner!

Congratulations to Jim Hutchinson! Jim was the lucky participant to have his car number drawn to win the brand new 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3's donated by Goodyear Canada. Jim is a long-time member of the OCC and has attended many Ontario Camaro Nationals events.
